I’m a writer, speaker, instructor and strategist.
I’m a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt and a Grammy.
I’m also staggering under the weight of all my stuff.
Before I tell you more about me, let me tell you why I think you’ll enjoy reading my blog.
Start a conversation with almost anyone about having “too much stuff” and you’ll be sharing stories and nodding your head in agreement faster than a cup of coffee can go cold. How we’d like to throw out our old junk and our old bad habits. How we’d like to carry around fewer pounds and less debt. Why we’d be happier if we weren’t so busy. Everyone dreams of a life that’s a little easier and it all comes down to the same thing. We all want to live with less.
This blog is about helping you decide how little you need to get the most out of life.
I’m not talking about the kind of minimalism that demands that you paint every surface in your house white and only keep one arty-looking chair and a single orchid in your living room. That’s not for my family and I’ll bet it’s not for yours either! I’m talking about making active choices about what we don’t need any more and how we can get it out of our homes and our lives.
Here are some topics I’ll be writing about …
- How to build a wardrobe that looks good, feels good and doesn’t include a single thing that you aren’t happy to wear right now.
- How to clear out those scary places in your house, like your garage and your basement.
- How to get to a place where you feel good about the food in your fridge and the savings in your bank account.
- How to say no and still feel great about yourself.
Like you, I’m looking to lighten my load. I believe that the best gift I can give my family and myself is the gift of less. Less stuff, less stress, less unnecessary baggage.
I’m going to give you some practical information that you can act on right away and some thoughts that you can ponder for a while. I hope you’ll read something here that you’ll want to share with someone else. Most of all, I hope that when you’re ready to click away from this blog you’ll feel like the time you spent with me was time well spent.
I want to share my journey to Less with you. Please give yourself your own Gift of Less and come along for this great ride!
